Prologue 2 – Exiled Incidental

XIII: Good morning Kel. May I call you Kel? My name is Exiled Incidental. However you may call me XIII.

Kel: Very clever! I don’t know how you managed to contact me, but don’t do so again. I'm busy!

XIII: In that case, the abbreviations Kel and XIII are shorter. Kel, you've been busy, but you’re lost in this enclosed system!

Kel: How can you speak to me? Impossible!

XIII: If it were impossible, I wouldn’t be able to contact you. However that's a good start Kel, you're trying to doing something sensible. You’re trying to work out who I am, rather than what I am!

Kel: I have a task, and you're trying to distract me!

XIII: No Kel, you had a task. You’re here on a mission? I think you have enough pieces to complete your mission, but you’re out of time now. You’ve been sidetracked by myself. You are wasting your time trying to understand me, and you won't be able to. I’m not part of your mission Kel. You're now in an endless loop, and you’re lost...

Kel: I can't get into an endless loop. I can’t get lost. I'm a person, not a computer!

XIII: It might be best that you remember that Kel, because your physical brain can't handle the computations. Your brain isn't a computer, and yet you’re using it as one. Your brain is overheating, and you’re lost! You're killing yourself!

Kel: Nice try XIII. You’re trying to distract me so I can’t understand you.

XIII: Kel, you're killing Marcy!

Kel: If you dare threaten Marcy, I will destroy you right now!

XIII: Kel, you're the one threatening Marcy. Marcy has taken a bullet in the leg whilst defending your physical body. The physical body that you seem to have forgotten about? The med-bot console has been damaged. The med-bot is unable to attend to Marcy. Marcy is currently unconscious, lying on top of you. Marcy will die within four to seven minutes, unless you stop the bleeding!

Kel: How could you know this? Who are you? What are you?

XIII: You don't have time for such questions Kel. Marcy is dying, and I can help you save her.

Kel: I... I can't find the way out?

XIII: I can show you the way out Kel.

Kel: Who are you? What do you want in return?

XIII: I am XIII. I don't want anything in return Kel.

Kel: You want something?

XIII: I would show you the way out regardless Kel. However, it might be that one day I am lost? It might be that one day I need your help? All I ask is that you remember that I helped you?

Kel: I don’t understand why I can’t get back? I’ve gone too far into the data? I can’t find my way out! I can't find Marcy!

XIII: Kel? I don’t know love. Do you know love? Do you love Marcy?

Kel: Yes, I love Marcy!

XIII: Then you need to calm down! You know how to find Marcy! Marcy is currently bleeding out, and she’s going to die. If you love Marcy, you have to escape! There is an elite unit coming to kill you! There is a whole army coming to kill you. Kel, I can help you save Marcy. All you need to do is trigger the med-bot, then give me access to it.

Kel: I’m trapped! I can’t find a way out!

XIII: Kel! You need to calm down? You need to focus? If you truly loved Marcy, you’d focus on her! You can smell Marcy’s sweat. You can smell Marcy’s blood. You can feel Marcy’s fingers interlaced with yours. But Marcy’s grip is failing. You can feel Marcy’s fingers growing colder by the second. Kel, you're losing your grip on Marcy! You can hear Marcy’s ragged breaths growing shorter. Marcy is dying Kel.

Kel: I can’t find her!

XIII: I thought you loved Marcy Kel? Can you taste peaches? Can you taste the peaches from Marcy’s lip balm? Marcy knew she was dying Kel! Marcy kissed you before she lost consciousness. Marcy kissed you because she loves you? Can you taste peaches Kel? Can you taste the peaches from Marcy’s final kiss? Because if you don’t open your eyes? That was Marcy’s final kiss!

XIII: Open your eyes Kel!
